A dog that ran off after its owner was hit and killed by a vehicle in Westminster has been found and reunited with family.

The crash happened at about 3:05 p.m. on Monday at West 100th Avenue and Federal Boulevard, police said in a news release. A woman, walking her dog, was when she was hit and killed.

Her small dog, Zoe, ran off, westbound into a neighborhood.

Zoe has been found safe and reunited with family, police announced Friday.

The driver of the car involved in the incident remained on scene and has been cooperating with the ongoing investigation, police said.
