Justin Simmons made a diving pick off of Lions quarterback Jared Goff in the fourth quarter on Sunday. Then immediately got up and placed the ball on the No. 88 decal remembering the late Demaryius Thomas on the Broncos sideline.
Simmons is one of 10 Broncos current players who was teammates with Thomas.
For the Broncos safety, it is his fifth interception of the season, tying a career high set last season. It’s the 21st interception of his career, moving him into sole possession of No. 10 on the team’s all-time list. He’s three behind Steve Atwater for No. 9.
