After a pleasant weather weekend, Denver will enjoy a mild start to the week.

According to the National Weather Service, Denver will reach 58 degrees under mostly sunny skies on Monday. Temperatures will dip to 33 degrees overnight with 15 mph winds. In the mountains, dry conditions continue, 40 mph wind gusts will be possible, and areas could experience elevated fire danger.

Tuesday will bring a few more clouds but also a little more warmth. It’ll be partly sunny and 62 degrees in the daytime, but after 11 p.m., there’s a 20% chance of rain as temperatures dip to 37 degrees.

On Wednesday, a strong and fast-moving weather system will bring strong winds to the region, gusting to 50 mph downtown, 65 mph on the plains and 80 mph in the hills. The day will begin with a 30% chance of precipitation before 9 a.m. before the sun peeks out and the high reaches 50 degrees. Winds should take hold in the afternoon then slow in the evening as temperatures fall to 24 degrees.

There’s a chance of light snow in the mountains on Thursday and Friday.
