The Denver Jewish Film Festival is back this month with more ways to enjoy programming, whether you’re ready to return to the theater or would prefer to watch from home in light of COVID-19.

The 26th annual event, which runs Feb. 14 to March 1, is stacked with more than two dozen movies, including documentaries, short films and full-length features. Buzzworthy titles include a documentary that follows 98-year-old Holocaust survivor Ella Blumenthal’s extraordinary life; a romantic comedy about a same-sex couple crossing cultural boundaries; and a drama about an Iranian teen exploring his Jewish identity.

Sixteen movie screenings will take place in person at The Elaine Wolf Theatre at the Staenberg-Loup Jewish Community Center (350 S. Dahlia St., Denver), while an additional 10 movies will be available for fans to watch virtually starting Feb. 23.

are available: The “in-person-only” pass ($189) gets you access to the 16 theater screenings, plus the ability to rewatch them on-demand remotely for up to a week after they debut at the festival. The “virtual-only” pass ($349) buys access to all 26 movies to be viewed from home. And with an “all-access” pass ($499), you get all of the above.

Tickets for individual movie screenings, both in-person and virtual, are also available for purchase.
