The Broncos made three more staff hires Tuesday, adding Ola Adams as assistant defensive backs coach, Derek Haithcock as assistant to coach Nathaniel Hackett and John Vieria in a new role as instructional designer.

Adams joins the Broncos after coaching in college for 18 years, including the last seven seasons at Villanova as running backs coach (2015-16), cornerbacks/special teams (2017-18) and defensive coordinator/defensive backs coach (2019-21). Adams was going to join Temple as co-defensive coordinator/safeties coach when the Broncos called.

Haithcock worked a decade for the Raiders as a coaching assistant/assistant to the head coach before joining the California program as director of recruiting operations.

Vieira joins the Broncos after working in the same role with Green Bay when Hackett was the Packers’ offensive coordinator. His role will be to help coaches in their presentations to the players and what process works best in group and 1-on-1 settings. He will not be involved in game management (timeout/replays). Senior analyst Matt Sheldon, hired last year, remains on the staff directory.
