After a pandemic hiatus, the parade returns Saturday for the first time since 2019.

The procession begins at 9:30 a.m. Saturday and lasts until noon. The city should be bustling before breakfast as folks stake out spots and seek out specials around the area. Parking can be tough to come by, so it’s best to plan ahead.
Parade organizers say they average 300,000 to 400,000 people attending annually.
The parade begins on Wynkoop Street at 19th Street and then turns down 17th Street in front of Union Station. The procession then turns down Blake Street, going up to 27th Street.
For those looking to drive around the area, it’s key to note that two arterial streets leading to Interstate 25 cross the parade route: 20th Street and Park Avenue West.
The forecast from the National Weather Service calls for a low of 18 degrees Saturday morning, warming to a sunny 57 degrees. City officials urge those coming out to dress in layers and to bring water.
“The best spot is south of 20th Street on Blake Street (which will be renamed Tooley Street for the parade),” organizers said on the . “This is probably the most crowded area of the parade and is standing room only. Folks will arrive as early as 6 a.m. to stake out a spot.”
Parking can be a challenge, but the Coors Field parking structure will be open from 7 to 9 a.m. for parade participants and spectators.
