The utility man had not played in a professional game since 2019 due to the canceled 2020 minor league season and an ankle injury that forced him to miss all of the 2021 season. .. Catcher Willie MacIver hit a solo homer in the sixth inning.
Worth noting: Garrett Hampson, bidding to be the primary center fielder, started the game, going 0 for 2 before he was replaced by Hannah.
