Firefighters in Boulder worked on a large structure fire Friday morning.
Calls first came in around 5 a.m. for the fire at Aspen Grove Condominiums near Diagonal Highway and 28th Street, at 2880 Kalmia Avenue, according to Boulder Fire-Rescue.
At 7 a.m., crews were seen still fighting flames. People were evacuated from the buildings.
The Red Cross shared on social media that disaster action team volunteers were headed to the scene for what they called “a large multi-family fire.”
The that 24 families have been displaced by the blaze.
There is plenty of activity in the area, and good alternate routes include Folsom Street and Valmont Road.
Officials have not reported any injuries.
An investigation into the fire’s origin is underway.
