Denver weather: Warm, cloudy skies expected Wednesday with a chance of rain

The weather service expects a 20% chance of rain between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

Warm weather today will be followed by a slight chance of rain this afternoon under mostly cloudy skies, the National Weather Service predicts.

Wednesday is expected to reach high of 77 degrees with 5 mph to 11 mph winds, gusting as high as 16 mph. The weather service expects a 20% chance of rain between 4 p.m. and 7 p.m.

The plains and Palmer Divide will experience elevated fire danger this afternoon with gusts reaching 25 mph and the chance of an isolated thunderstorm in the area, the National Weather Service said.

The rest of the week is expected to stay warm and relatively sunny, with breezes starting Thursday night and lasting through Saturday night. Thursday’s high is expected to be 78 degrees, before dropping to 66 degrees on Friday and 67 on Saturday.

Another slight chance of rain will come on Friday between 1 p.m. and 7 p.m., when the weather service predicts a 20% chance of precipitation.
