Ambulance transporting passenger gets into two-vehicle crash in Wheat Ridge

Driver and a passenger in a pickup truck were taken to a local hospital

An ambulance, transporting a patient, was involved in a two-vehicle crash in Wheat Ridge on Friday.

The crash, which also involved a pickup truck, happened at the intersection of West 44th Avenue and Kipling Street, police said on Twitter.

The driver and a passenger in the pickup were taken to a local hospital to be treated for “minor injuries”, police said. A traffic investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing.

Both of the emergency medical technicians in the ambulance were also take to a local hospital, where they were treated and released, according to the Arvada Fire Protection District.
