The Edmonton Oilers were leading 4-2 with less than 12 minutes left in the third period Monday. The team’s need to hold onto the lead would prevent them from being eliminated in Game 4 against Avalanche.

That was when two Avs people turned up the pressure and made it a tied game. Team captains Gabriel Landeskog and Nathan McKinnon answered the call.

First, it was Landeskog with the goal at the 11:02 mark.

At 6:30, McKinnon made a goal of his own.

Alternate captain Mikko Rantanen broke the tie with a goal of his own, making it 5-4 Avs with 5:13 left in the period.
