A parking lot in the Governor’s Ranch area of Jefferson County was evacuated early Wednesday evening as the sheriff’s office had a vehicle checked for suspicious devices.

Bomb technicians responded to the Safeway parking lot in the 5000 block of South Kipling Parkway, the sheriff’s office determined the packages found were not dangerous.
