Denver International Airport’s underground trains to the passenger concourses stopped for nearly 30 minutes Tuesday morning after one of the trains got stuck on Concourse A.
The train got stuck around 10:17 a.m., resuming its normal operations around 10:45 a.m., airport officials said. They did not say how the train became immobilized.
Security at the north and south checkpoints was metered for a short stretch to allow the train platforms to clear, but resumed its normal schedule around 11:18 a.m., officials said.
Trains are stopped. No getting to the gate now. I hope the airlines are holding planes…

The airport announced the stoppage at 10:27 a.m. via Twitter, saying crews were “working quickly to restore service.”
DIA tweeted that airlines were aware of the train delays at the airport, but it would be the choice of each airline as to whether or not to hold flights for passengers.
Airport officials said they couldn’t quantify how many flights were delayed as a result of the incident.
It was possible to walk to the A gates during the train stoppage, but the B and C concourses are not accessible by foot. At the time of the delay, the airport said that “we are exploring other ideas to provide an alternate way to get to B and C.”
