A woman was shot in Commerce City early Tuesday morning and later died at a hospital, according to police, marking the fifth suspected homicide in the city so far this year.
The shooting happened in the 7000 Block of Grape Street at approximately 1 a.m. Tuesday, when police responded to a report of an unresponsive person at that location. Officers found a woman with a gunshot wound.
She was taken to a local hospital but died of her injury.
