After Sunday night’s torrential rains and flash flooding, forecasters expect clear and sunny skies with hot temperatures in Denver throughout the week.

While rain is unlikely Monday, showers and thunderstorms are possible in northeast and north central Colorado, prompting the weather service to put out a hazardous weather outlook due to potential flash flooding.

The Denver metro area has mild weather in store Monday with a high of 85 degrees, mostly sunny skies and only a 20% chance of rain in the afternoon.

Temperatures will drop to an overnight low of 62 and remain mostly clear.

Tuesday onward, temperatures are expected to be hot and rain unlikely.

Tuesday’s forecast calls for a high of 91 and mostly clear. The chance for showers or thunderstorms is low.

Forecasters expect Wednesday to bring a high of 92, Thursday a high of 95 and Friday a high of 94, all while retaining clear skies that will bring little to no moisture.
