A man shot in Aurora on Saturday afternoon was taken to a hospital, where he died, police said.
At 12:43 pm officers were called to Ironton St between Ironton/Kentucky for a shooting. One man suffered life-threatening injuries and was taken to the hospital. Investigation is ongoing to determine what led up to the shooting. Roadways are closed in the area.

The shooting happened about 12:40 p.m. on Ironton Street between Tennessee and Kentucky avenues, police said on Twitter.
Witnesses called 911 to report the shooting, and when officers arrived they found the victim, who had been shot, seated in a vehicle, police said in a news release.
An investigation is ongoing. As of Saturday evening, police had not made an arrest. The Arapahoe County coroner’s office will release the name of the victim after family has been notified.
