One person has died after a Monday apartment fire at a senior apartment complex in Aurora.
Just before 6:15 p.m. Monday, a fire was reported at 1324 N. Xanadu St., Aurora Police Rescue said in a news release. A senior apartment complex is listed at that address.
Crews responded to a residential structure fire in the 1300 blk of N Xanadu St. before 8:15p.
So far, 1 patient has been found and is receiving care.

When firefighters arrived, they searched the building and found the victim, who received immediate care and was transported to a hospital.
A sprinkler system was activated in the apartment building and contained the fire to a single apartment unit.
The victim who was taken to the hospital died Tuesday, the fire department said.
“Despite the dedication and professionalism of our members who provided care, our community has suffered a loss and our department is saddened by this incident,” Aurora Fire Rescue Interim Chief Allen Robnett said in a statement.
Fire investigators are still working to determine the cause of the fire.
