One person killed in Aurora trench collapse

First responders said the trench is in the 17500 block of East Eastman Drive

A worker was killed Tuesday after a trench collapsed in the 17500 block of E. Eastman Drive, according to Aurora Fire Rescue crews who responded to the situation.

The call about the collapse came in about 1:30 p.m., authorities said. At 5:30 p.m., said the body of a worker was uncovered and removed from the trench.

The Arapahoe County Coroner’s Office identified the victim as 23-year-old Marcos Guerro-Badillo. No other details about him, including the manner of death, were not available.

The trench was estimated to be about 12 feet deep, authorities said.
