Home-and-away

Kansas City Chiefs (14-3): The Chiefs have been at the pinnacle of the AFC West since Peyton Manning retired and have absolutely dominated the Broncos, winning their last 15 meetings.

Las Vegas Raiders (6-11): Much like Denver, Vegas entered the 2022 season with a new head coach and high hopes. But also like their rivals, the Raiders fell far short of expectations in Josh McDaniels’ first season.

Los Angeles Chargers (10-7): The Chargers made their return to the playoffs for the first time since 2018.

Home

Cleveland Browns (7-10): These two teams last met on Oct. 21, 2021, with the Browns pulling out a 17-14 win over Denver.

Green Bay Packers (8-8*): Aaron Rodgers will be facing the Broncos for just the fourth time in his career. Green Bay owns a 2-1 record in his starts, the last one taking place on Sept. 22, 2019.

Minnesota Vikings (13-4): Broncos general manager George Paton faces off against his former team for the first since Denver hired him in 2021. Fun fact: Despite its record, Minnesota was outscored 427-424 this season.

New England Patriots (8-9): Tom Brady’s long gone, but Bill Belichick is still there. The Patriots missed the playoffs for the second time in three seasons after missing the postseason just twice between 2001-19.

New York Jets (7-10): Despite winning as many games in 2022 as they did the previous two seasons, there are many question marks surrounding the Jets, particularly their quarterback situation.

Washington Commanders (8-8-1): For the seventh straight year, Washington failed to win more than eight games.

Away

Buffalo Bills (13-3): Von Miller, the Broncos’ Super Bowl 50 MVP, will face the team that drafted him for the first time since they traded him to the Rams during the 2021 season.

Chicago Bears (3-14): The Bears are armed with the No. 1 overall pick in the upcoming draft as well as one of the more exciting young quarterbacks in the game in Justin Fields. The 23-year-old may have only thrown for 2,242 yards, but he rushed for 1,143 yards and eight touchdowns this season.

Detroit Lions (8-8*): With Jared Goff under center, the Lions had one of the most potent offenses in the league in 2022. Their defense, however, is among the NFL’s worst.

Houston Texans (3-13-1): Lovie Smith’s successful two-point conversion call in their Week 18 win handed the Bears the No. 1 overall pick. The team could see an overhaul of its front office and coaching staff this offseason.

Miami Dolphins (9-8): Head coach and Aurora native Mike McDaniel led the Dolphins to their first playoff appearance since 2018.
