A calm Thursday is in store for Denver after a snowstorm exited the area Wednesday evening.
Denver International Airport received a total of 9.2 inches over the two-day period Tuesday and Wednesday, which the National Weather Service called the eighth-largest two-day snowfall in Denver on record.
Snowfall at DIA is up to 9.1" as of 5 pm this evening. This is the 8th largest "2" Day Snowfall for the month of January at Denver since records began in 1882.

Downtown Denver received 6.5 inches of snow, and most Denver suburbs received between four and six inches of snow. Aurora received the most in the area with 11 inches total.
Denver’s weather Thursday is expected to be mostly sunny, and temperatures are expected to stay cool due to the snow on the ground, with a high of 39 degrees. Slight winds of about six to eight mph are possible during the day.
The only weather features in northeast Colorado Thursday are lingering snow flurries in the far northeast corner of the state and dense fog in Weld and Larimer counties. Forecasters at the National Weather Service in Boulder advised drivers on Interstate 25 near Fort Collins to be wary of the fog through mid-morning.
Thursday night’s low is 15 degrees.
Another weaker storm system will pass through the state Friday, but the main part of the storm will stay south of Denver. Some light snow could fall in Denver, as there is a 20% chance of snow after 11 a.m.
Friday’s high is 31 degrees and Friday night’s low is 17 degrees.
After that, a mostly cam weekend is expected before morse snow chances from Sunday through next Tuesday.
