Two people were killed in a crash in east Denver early Sunday morning, police said.

The two-vehicle crash happened at about 6:38 a.m. at the intersection of East Alameda Avenue and South Dayton Street, according to police.

One driver and a passenger were killed, police said in a statement.

The victims have not been publicly identified and additional details on the crash were not available Sunday.
