
and both announced their intentions to transfer to Colorado State on Sunday, as the Rams added a pair of former Colorado prep stars to their men’s basketball roster.
Johnson and Clifford, who both just completed their third college seasons, will arrive in Fort Collins via New Mexico and Colorado, respectively, in a transfer portal recruiting coup for Rams coach Niko Medved.
Johnson averaged 5.8 points and 3.6 rebounds over 33 games played as a junior for the Lobos last season, while Clifford put up 5.9 points and 3.9 rebounds over 35 games with the Buffs.
Both Class of 2020 guards played their high school ball in the Springs, with Johnson named the Class 4A player of the year his senior season at Cheyenne Mountain and Clifford selected as the state Gatorade Player of the Year with The Vanguard School the same season.
