Class 5A

1. Cherry Creek (9-0) won vs. No. 3 Arapahoe, 24-14: Sophomore QB Brady Vodicka had one touchdown passing and another on a 1-yard plunge to put the Bruins ahead 17-14 with 8:23 left in the fourth quarter. Senior Jordan Herron added a 1-yard scoring run of his own, completed a critical halfback pass, and topped 100 yards on the ground, and the Creek defense shut out Arapahoe over the final two quarters to escape with a win. Next week: at No. 7 Grandview, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

2. Columbine (9-0) won vs. Lakewood, 48-0: Josh Snyder and Mark Snyder ran in two touchdowns apiece, the Rebels rolled up 236 rushing yards and the defense notched its second shutout of the season to remain unbeaten. Next week: vs. No. 8 Chatfield, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

3. Arapahoe (7-2) lost at No. 1 Cherry Creek, 24-14: QB Michael Moynihan threw touchdown passes to Andrew Smart (24 yards) and Charlie Eckhardt (56 yards) to give the Warriors a 14-7 lead with 5:42 left in the first half. Arapahoe led all the way into the fourth quarter, marking the first time Creek trailed entering the final frame this season, but was unable to hold on. Next week: vs. Eaglecrest, 7 p.m. Oct. 26.

4. Pine Creek (8-1) won vs. Douglas County, 33-27: Junior Jonathan Coar ran for 229 yards and four touchdowns on 27 carries as the Eagles jumped out to a 33-6 lead, then held on from there. Douglas County QB Jordan Wilhelm threw for 219 yards and two TDs on 22-of-40 passing, but the Creek defense intercepted him three times. Next week: at Chaparral, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

5. Ralston Valley (7-2) won at No. 8 Chatfield, 42-28: Senior QB Logan Madden threw three TD passes (two to Jackson Hansen), Bryson Diebel put the Mustangs ahead with a 1-yard scoring plunge with 6:06 left in the third quarter, and Brady Weldon made it hold up with a critical interception and two TD runs of his own in the second half. Next week: at Arvada West, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 26.

6. Mountain Vista (8-1) won vs. Highlands Ranch, 48-8: The Golden Eagles scored 41 straight to start the game and cruised from there to set up a showdown with Valor Christian next Friday for the 5A South Metro League title. Next week: at Valor Christian, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

7. Grandview (6-3) lost at Cherokee Trail, 23-21: Senior Miles Philson drilled a 36-yard field goal with less than 10 seconds left to send CT to an upset win over the Wolves. Senior QB Liam Szarka found Nate Denton for a go-ahead score off a flea flicker for Grandview, but CT rallied with a Noah Collins touchdown run and Philson’s game-winner. Next week: vs. No. 1 Cherry Creek, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

8. Chatfield (5-4) lost vs. No. 5 Ralston Valley, 42-28: Jake Jones threw a pair of touchdown passes and ran for another to give the Chargers a 21-14 lead with 8:44 left in the second quarter, but Ralston Valley scored 21 straight after that and Chatfield couldn’t rally back. Next week: at No. 2 Columbine, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

9. Legend (6-3) lost vs. No. 10 Regis Jesuit, 27-10: A week after upsetting Pine Creek, Legend jumped ahead 10-0 in the second quarter on Michael Marsenich’s TD pass to Nate Sandy and a Brady Ryan field goal. But the Titans were shut out the rest of the way in their home finale. Next week: at Douglas County, 6 p.m. Oct. 26.

10. Regis Jesuit (5-4) won at No. 9 Legend, 27-10: The Raiders rallied from 10 points down to earn a massive win for their CHSAA RPI ranking, scoring 24 points over the final two quarters to knock off Legend. Jack Manthey booted two field goals, QB Peyton Lindell found Jojo Hernandez for the go-ahead score in the third quarter, and Albert Medina added a TD on the ground. Next week: at Fountain-Fort Carson, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

Class 4A

1. Palmer Ridge (9-0) won vs. Cheyenne Mountain, 54-7: The Bears raced out to a 33-0 lead by the end of the first quarter en route to topping 50 points for the second straight game and third time this season. Next week: vs. Vista Ridge, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

: Senior QB Blake Barnett had a hand in six touchdowns, putting him at 145 passing, rushing and return TDs combined for his prep career, and the Tigers cruised to a league title-clinching win. Late Friday. Next week: at Greeley West, 1 p.m. Oct. 28.

3. Montrose (7-2) won vs. No. 8 Mesa Ridge, 43-12: Blake Griffin and Austin Zimmer ran in two touchdowns apiece to help give the Red Hawks a 36-6 lead in the third quarter that was never challenged. Next week: at No. 9 Pueblo West, 6 p.m. Oct. 27.

4. Broomfield (7-2) won at No. 6 Fruita Monument, 21-6: Cam Meehan found the end zone twice for the Eagles, CT Worley punched another in from 2 yards out, and the Broomfield defense shut out Fruita Monument over the last two quarters to move a win away from a league championship. Next week: vs. Heritage, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

5. Thomas Jefferson (8-1) lost at Ponderosa, 21-6: The Spartans’ unbeaten run came to an end, as Ponderosa secured a league championship with the victory. Next week: vs. Denver South, 4 p.m. Oct. 26.

6. Fruita Monument (6-3) lost vs. No. 4 Broomfield, 21-6: Andres Palafox’s 1-yard touchdown run pulled Fruita within eight late in the second quarter, but the Wildcats didn’t see the end zone again. Next week: Idle.

7. Loveland (6-3) lost vs. Windsor, 28-10: The Wizards held Loveland to just one field goal in the second half to hand the Red Wolves a third loss in a season for just the second time in eight seasons. Next week: vs. Longmont, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

8. Mesa Ridge (6-3) lost at No. 3 Montrose, 43-12: The high-powered Grizzlies offense was held to just one touchdown (Trevon Salas run) through three quarters in a loss that may have dashed their league title hopes. Next week: vs. Falcon, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

9. Pueblo West (6-3) won at Coronado, 41-6: Junior quarterback Gavin Lockett threw two TD passes to Brock Keck (six catches, 106 yards) and ran for two more en route to piling up 265 total yards in the win. Next week: vs. No. 3 Montrose, 6 p.m. Oct. 27.

10. Dakota Ridge (6-3) won vs. Grand Junction, 55-21: The Eagles put 41 points on the board in the first half, then tacked on two more touchdowns in the third quarter to clinch a league title with their highest scoring output of the season. Next week: at Standley Lake, 7:30 p.m. Oct. 27.

Class 3A

1. Green Mountain (8-0) won at Wheat Ridge, 50-0. Next week: at Littleton, 6 p.m. Oct. 27.

2. Resurrection Christian (6-1) won vs. Mountain View, 34-19. Next week: at Northridge, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

3. Holy Family (7-1) won at Fort Morgan, 49-7. Next week: vs. Lincoln, 6 p.m. Oct. 26.

4. Roosevelt (7-1) won at Severance, 28-27. Next week: vs. No. 10 Thompson Valley, 7 p.m. Oct. 26.

5. Lutheran (6-2) won at No. 8 Northfield, 32-20. Next week: at Kennedy, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.

6. Durango (7-1) won vs. Eagle Valley, 48-7. Next week: at Palisade, 7 p.m. Oct. 27.
