Looks like another late night for the Buffs. Colorado will kick off its homecoming game against No. 11 Oregon State at 8 p.m. Nov. 4 at Folsom Field in Boulder, the university and the Pac-12 Conference announced Monday. ESPN will air the game, making it CU’s ninth consecutive nationally televised game.
The Buffaloes’ late kickoffs have made for big drama this season. The Rocky Mountain Showdown in September started at 8 p.m. and ended well after midnight in a double-overtime, 43-35 win over Colorado State. More recently, CU’s 8 p.m. game against Stanford ended in disaster as the Cardinal erased a 29-point deficit en route to a stunning upset.
The Buffs (4-3, 1-3 Pac-12) still need two more wins this season to become bowl eligible — and it won’t come easily. Three of Colorado’s five remaining games are against ranked opponents: this weekend at No. 23 UCLA, next week against the Beavers, and at No. 13 Utah on Nov. 25.
The Buffaloes will play Nov. 17 at Washington State, which spent several weeks this season in the Top 25. On Nov. 11, they’ll host wily Arizona, which blew out Washington State 44-6 and took USC to triple overtime before falling 41-43.
