Three men were found dead by Adams County sheriff’s deputies in an apparent murder-suicide inside a home in the 8400 block of Franklin Drive on Tuesday afternoon.

Deputies responded to the home on reports of a gunshot victim at 4:25 p.m. and found three dead men inside, according to Sgt. Adam Sherman.

The Adams County Sheriff’s Office initially reported four men were killed but .

The house was locked, and deputies forced entry and initially found one man dead from a gunshot wound. After checking the rest of the house, deputies found additional men who were dead.

The person who called 911 was a family member of one of the victims, Sherman said. It’s not clear when the shooting occurred.

The area is south of Thornton near Coronado Hills Elementary School.

The incident appears to be isolated and there is no danger to the public, according to the sheriff’s office.
