Destin is a 6-foot-3, 223-pound quarterback who was a redshirt freshman at Kentucky this past season. He didn’t appear in any games for the Wildcats this season, but did start in the Music City Bowl a year ago, completing 16-of-30 passes for 98 yards. That was his only appearance at Kentucky.

At Spring Hill (Tenn.) High School in 2021, he was “Mr. Football” for the state’s largest classification. Rated as a four-star recruit, he helped his team go 40-5 in high school. As a senior, he threw for 1,436 yards and 18 touchdowns and ran for 2,308 yards and 30 touchdowns.

His twin brother, Keaten, is a 6-foot-5, 250-pound outside linebacker who was a sophomore this season for the Wildcats.

Keaten played in all 12 regular season games, recording 35 tackles, three tackles for loss, one sack, three quarterback hurries and a blocked kick. As a true freshman in 2022, he played in all 13 games, posting 16 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss, 1.5 sacks and a pass breakup.

Like his brother, Keaten was rated as a four-star prospect coming out of Spring Hill High School. He racked up 84 tackles, 26 tackles for loss, eight sacks and two interceptions as a senior and played in the All-American Bowl.

Keaten Wade will have two seasons of eligibility remaining, while Destin has three.
