More depth is coming to the Colorado offensive line.

Former Florida International tackle Phillip Houston has announced his intention to transfer to Colorado and play for head coach Deion Sanders.

The 6-foot-5, 250-pound Houston spent the past two seasons at FIU, where he played for former CU head coach Mike MacIntyre.

This past season, Houston started all 12 games for the Panthers at right tackle. He was FIU’s highest-rated offensive lineman on Pro Football Focus, with an overall grade of 66.6. He was the Panthers’ top-graded run blocker and allowed five sacks in pass blocking.

In 2022 at FIU, Houston played in five games, all starts (three at right tackle, two at left guard).

Prior to going to FIU, Houston played one season at Navarro College. He was an all-conference player at McKinney Boyd (Texas) High School.
