A driver fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run crash pushed a second vehicle into an RTD bus in Aurora, critically injuring that vehicle’s driver, .
The second crash happened on South Parker Road just east of Interstate 225, Aurora police reported at 4:10 p.m.
The driver was fleeing the hit-and-run and crashed into the second vehicle, pushing it into an RTD bus’ path at an intersection.
The second vehicle’s driver was taken to a hospital in critical condition, but police said they expected that person to survive.
Some bus passengers also were taken to a hospital with minor injuries.
The suspected hit-and-run driver sustained serious injuries, but police said they were not life-threatening.
The other driver involved in the initial hit-and-run was not injured.
Police said Parker Road would be closed for a short time in the area.
