Commuters hitting the road Friday in Denver will be greeted with light snow and slushy roads during the morning rush hour.

Though the snow will start winding down by 9 a.m., roads will be icy and slick in spots during the morning commute into Denver, especially along bridges and overpasses, .

The snow sweeping across Colorado is expected to continue through the morning in the metro area, but will linger through the evening in the mountains, .

Warm temperatures will limit snow accumulation and leave slush on the roads, but an inch or two of snow might be able to collect throughout the morning, .

The greatest chance of snow sticking in the metro area is south and east of Denver, .

Denver and the surrounding area will see a high of 45 degrees before temperatures dip to a 24-degree low overnight. The clouds hovering over the city will clear out Saturday, making room for a warm, sunny week.

By Tuesday, temperature highs will hit the 60s and overnight lows will be back above freezing, .
