A Wheat Ridge hair salon celebrates 60 years in business as it closes down: “It’s like family here”

Dee Lombardi took over Beauty Inc. in 1964, when it was in north Denver, and ran it until her death

Beauty Inc. has been a hub of activity for the community for decades, especially for Italian-Americans in north Denver who followed its westward move to the suburbs. It will close on Saturday after 60 years in business, more than two years after the death of owner Dee Lombardi.
