Man wanted in fatal shooting in Denver’s Hale neighborhood

The shooting occurred in the 4800 block of East Hale Parkway

Denver police are looking for a 36-year-old man suspected in a fatal shooting in the 1000 block of North Dahlia Street on May 4.

Antonio Cardenas is wanted in connection with a homicide in Denver’s Hale neighborhood, . Denver police initially said the shooting happened on the adjacent East Hale Parkway.

Officers responded to the shooting at 6:13 p.m. and one victim, later identified as 34-year-old Baldemar Ortiz De La Fuente, took himself to a local hospital, where he later died.

His death was ruled a homicide from multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner.

Cardenas is described as Hispanic; 4 feet, 2 inches tall; and 100 pounds with brown eyes and black hair.
