Mandatory evacuations prompted by a grass fire burning north of Wellington in Larimer County were lifted Wednesday, according to the county’s emergency alert system.

Residents on North County Road 7 east to Interstate 25 and East County Road 82 south to East County Road 70 are no longer under evacuation orders, according to the . Anyone who evacuated can go home, but they should be cautious because firefighters and equipment are still in the area.

The fire burning near the Buckeye exit on I-25 grew to 5 acres and was 90% contained as of 4:23 p.m., according to the Larimer County Sheriff’s Office.
