A cyclist was killed in a crash with a vehicle on Interstate 76 near Sheridan Boulevard early Tuesday morning, according to the Colorado State Patrol.
Troopers responded to the crash at approximately 4:30 a.m. on I-76 near Sheridan Boulevard to reports of a single-vehicle rollover and car fire, CSP said in a news release Tuesday.
The cyclist died at the scene and the driver was taken to the hospital with serious injuries, the agency said. The identity of the bicyclist has not yet been released.
The interstate was closed between Interstate 70/Wadsworth Boulevard and Colorado 95/Sheridan Boulevard from 4:45 a.m. to 8:39 a.m., .
The cause of the crash is under investigation and no charges have been filed, CSP officials said Tuesday.
