Northbound Interstate 25 reopened near 144th Avenue in Thornton after a tractor-trailer crash spilled rebar across the highway,
One person was taken to the hospital with minor injuries after a crash between a tractor-trailer and a truck, Thornton police spokesperson Joe Walker said.
All lanes except the HOV remain closed, although much progress has been made. The truck was carrying rebar, which took time to remove. We’ll update you here…

The crash caused the trailer to roll on its side, and cleanup was expected to close the highway for “an extended period of time,” said in a post on X at 2:33 p.m.
Three lanes reopened as of 6:15 p.m., according to Thornton police.
