Lafayette’s Willoughby Corner has hundreds on home waitlists

Willoughby Corner, a new development being built at the southwest intersection of 120th and Emma streets in Lafayette, has hundreds of applications for income-restricted units, after opening wait lists in June.

In all, the complex is planned to include a mix of 400 rentals and for-sale homes, when itap finished. The first 63 income-restricted rental units for residents 55 years and older are almost done, according to a Boulder County website.

To rent or buy the units (or to get on a wait list) residents must have an income thatap 60 percent or less of the area median income as set by the federal Housing and Urban Development Department. In 2022, the income restrictions would be $52,680 for one person or $75,240 for a family of four, according to HUD data.

More than 1,000 people have applied for the wait list for multi-family units in the complex, and more than 400 people have applied for the seniors wait list. The Boulder County Housing Authority will manage all rentals in the complex.
