Weld County Jail, sheriff sued for censoring mail to inmates by Human Rights Defense Center

A federal lawsuit filed Tuesday accuses Weld County Sheriff Steve Reams and the Weld County Jail of unconstitutionally censoring mail that was sent to inmates.

Dead chickens test positive for avian flu at Weld County egg-laying facility

State officials were notified that dead chickens at a Weld County commercial egg-laying facility, which houses over one million chickens, tested positive for highly pathogenic avian influenza.
