African Community Center
When: 5 to 9 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25
Where: Assumption of the Theotokos Greek Orthodox Cathedral at 4610 E. Alameda Ave., Denver
Details: is hosting its 19th annual Refugee First Thanksgiving. The meal is free, but , which welcomes Denver’s newest refugee and immigrant community members. There will be international music, kids activities and cultural performances in addition to food.
Denver Rescue Mission
When: 12 to 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 25
Where: Empower Field at Mile High, parking lot B, at 1701 Bryant St., Denver
Details: If you already arranged a voucher, you’ll be assigned a pick-up time between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. to go through the drive-thru process. Registration for vouchers is already full, but if you missed the chance to snag one, you can arrive between 12 and 1 p.m. for first-come, first-served access to the Thanksgiving boxes. Each box contains a frozen turkey and Thanksgiving meal fixings for a family of 8 to 10.
Brother Jeff Cultural Center
When: Pick up meals from 12 to 3 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28
Where: Brother Jeff Cultural Center at 2836 Welton St., Denver
Details: Fill out a for access to a Thanksgiving meal. People who can’t leave their homes due to illness, mobility restrictions or lack of transportation can request delivery.
Volunteer information: People can also if they’d like to volunteer. The deadline to sign up as a volunteer is Nov. 22.
Ms. Betty’s Harvest Madsgiving
When: 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28, or 12 to 2 p.m. for deliveries
Where: Metro Caring, 1100 E. 18th Ave., Denver
Details: Ms. Betty’s is hosting its sixth Thanksgiving meal giveaway. Last year, local chefs Danielle and Tajahi Cooke and their crew served 13,036 meals. This year, the organization plans to serve 17,000 warm meals across metro Denver and beyond, including Boulder.

Operation Freebird

The Golden Mill

Details: The Golden Mill is offering a free or pay-what-you-can Thanksgiving lunch with a Mexican twist. The menu features tacos, roasted turkey and ham, mashed potatoes, spicy sausage, seasonal vegetables, Mexican rice and pumpkin pie empanadas. The restaurant is asking people to . All donations collected at the event will go toward a local organization combatting food insecurity, the restaurant said.
The Salvation Army
When: 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 28
Where: The Salvation Army Aurora Corps at 802 Quari Court, Aurora
