Jeremy Bloom is heading back to the slopes — this time as CEO of , the organization announced this morning.
The 42-year-old Bloom, a former Olympic skier, CU Buffs football and NFL wide receiver and three-time men’s skiing World Champion, will step aside as CEO of the enterprise software company Integrate in order to head up the action sports league, but will continue to hold a seat on Integrate’s board of directors.
“The opportunity to lead the X Games is more than just a professional milestone — itap a deeply personal honor,” Bloom said in a statement released to the media Wednesday. “Returning to my roots in sports and action sports, in particular, feels like coming home.
“The X Games is an iconic brand, and I have immense admiration and respect for our athletes, who are truly the best in the world. I’m excited to work with the team to further elevate the X Games and build the largest action sports leagues in the world, creating platforms that celebrate our athletes and inspires our fans around the world.”
Bloom has served on the board of trustees for U.S. Ski and Snowboard for the past seven years and is the chairman of the board for Wish of a Lifetime, a non-profit he founded in 2008 in honor of his grandmother.
The X Games, which celebrated its 30th anniversary this past April, is transitioning into a league structure, called , in 2026, in which athletes from multiple disciplines will compete for individual and team points to earn both individual and team prize purses.
The X Games are slated to Jan. 23-25.
