One dead after Friday night shooting on East Colfax

A man was killed Friday night in a shooting near East Colfax Avenue and Cherry Street in Denver, according to police.

Denver police at 10:36 p.m. on Dec. 13 that they had found one victim suffering from unknown injuries and were working to identify a suspect. At 11:24 p.m., and the shooting was being investigated as a homicide.

On Wednesday, the Denver Office of the Medical Examiner identified the victim as 37-year-old James Quezada-Davis. Coroner officials said the man died from multiple gunshot wounds.
