One man was killed in a shooting at a Westminster home near Orchard Town Center on Wednesday night, police officials said.
The man was shot to death in the doorway of a home in the 14700 block of Orchard Parkway around 8:30 p.m., according to a from the police department.
A man suspected in the shooting was carrying a gun when he fled northwest on foot, . Witnesses described him as wearing all black and with a slender build.
The investigation is ongoing, but police said they believe the shooting was an isolated incident and that there is no threat to the community. The name of the man who was killed will be released by the Adams County Coroner’s Office.
Investigators are seeking home surveillance video recorded around 8:30 p.m. from people living near 148th Avenue and Huron Street. Anyone with information about the case can contact the Westminster Police Department at 303-658-4360.
