after “adverse weather conditions” shut down the highway on Tuesday, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
The highway was closed in both directions between Coal Creek Canyon Road/Colorado 72 and Colorado 170, south of Eldorado Springs, according to CDOT officials. It reopened overnight.
Traffic cameras on Tuesday showed blowing snow covering stretches of the roadway and , according to the National Weather Service.
