This Colorado ski resort is the best in the U.S. for kids and families, according to OnTheSnow

Keystone Ski Resort ranked first, but four other kid-friendly Colorado ski areas also made the cut

Skiing is often a family affair, and those looking to bring the little ones to the slopes might want to consider finding a resort with amenities that cater to that age group. The good news for Coloradans is they don’t have to travel far to find mountains for all ages.

The app OnTheSnow recently ranked the in North America for families based on user reviews. Colorado resorts claimed five spots on the list, including the top two.

OnTheSnow listed Keystone Resort as the best family-friendly destination, touting its free parking, free gear wagons to haul equipment and kid-centric activities like the , a winter playground made of snow complete with slides, caves and a tubing hill.

Steamboat Ski Resort landed in the second spot, in part, because of its , which allows children 12 and under to shred alongside their parents or legal guardians for no cost.

Attractions at Breckenridge Ski Resort (No. 12) include the Mountaintop Children’s Museum, a Kids Adventure Zone near the slopes, and a ski run called that features bridges and tunnels to up the fun factor. Similarly, Beaver Creek Resort (No. 13) boasts “terrain for all abilities and kid adventure zones scattered around the resort,” OnTheSnow said.

Lastly, OnTheSnow touted Winter Park Ski Resort (No. 16) and its winter activities that go beyond skiing, such as ice bumper cars, tubing, ice fishing, and meet and greets with the Safety Patrol Dog Team.

OnTheSnow’s list includes ski destinations from Canada to New Mexico and from Oregon to Vermont.
