Eastbound Interstate 70 is closed Thursday morning west of Vail for a vehicle recovery, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.
As of 9:30 a.m., eastbound I-70 remained closed between Exit 167 for Avon and Exit 168 for Post Boulevard, about 10 miles west of Vail, .
Drivers are being rerouted on U.S. 6, but transportation officials were still reporting more than 30-minute delays in the area.
