
The Big Dance at Ball Arena is a sellout once again.
NCAA men’s basketball first- and second-round games at Ball Arena this weekend sold out for the second time in three years, officials at the Mountain West Conference, the hosting body for the tourney in Denver, told The Denver Post.
The 2023 first- and second-round games downtown also sold out.
Denver is hosting a pod in the NCAA East region and one in the South region. First-round games are slated for Thursday and second-round tilts for Saturday that feature the following teams, with their seeds in parentheses:
Session 1 — East region
- (3) Wisconsin vs. (14) Montana, 11:30 a.m.
- (6) BYU vs. (11) VCU, 2:05 p.m.
Session 2 — South region
- (4) Texas A&M vs. (13) Yale, 5:25 p.m.
- (5) Michigan vs. (12) UC San Diego, 8 p.m.
Tip-off times for Saturday’s second-round games will be announced after the first round is complete.
As of Tuesday morning, the cheapest “get-in” ticket, with fees, for Thursday’s first session . The cheapest “get-in” seat for the second session .
It’s the 11th Big Dance in Denver since the bracket expanded to 64 teams in 1985, and the sixth time since 1999 the metro has been home to the first two rounds of March Madness.
