Denver could see record-breaking heat on Saturday, forecasters said

Dry and windy conditions across the Interstate 25 corridor and Eastern Plains on Wednesday will create dangerous fire weather conditions, according to the National Weather Service.

Wind gusts may reach up to 45 mph and humidity levels will drop as low as 13%, .

A for most of Colorado east of Boulder will be active from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Wednesday, forecasters said.

“Conditions will be favorable for rapid fire spread,” NWS forecasters said in the warning. “Avoid outdoor burning and any activity that may produce a spark and start a wildfire.”

The warning covers Larimer, Weld, Boulder, Jefferson, Broomfiled, Douglas, Denver, Adams, Arapahoe, Morgan, Elbert, Lincoln, Logan, Washington, Sedgwick and Phillips counties.
