Eastbound Interstate 70 was closed for more than six hours Thursday in Glenwood Springs after a commercial truck carrying cattle crashed onto its side, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

The eastbound interstate was closed between exit 114 for West Glenwood and exit 119 for No Name, . The closure started at about 8 a.m. and lifted after 2 p.m.

at 9:30 a.m. showed crews walking around a tractor-trailer that had turned over onto its side. Multiple safety crews and vehicles were on scene trying to upright the truck, the cameras showed.

The tractor-trailer was hauling cattle when it crashed onto its side at about 8 a.m. Thursday near Mile Point 116, blocking both eastbound lanes of I-70, CDOT officials said in a .

Information on what caused the crash was not available Thursday.
