A man was found unresponsive and pronounced dead Thursday night while incarcerated at the Adams County jail, according to the sheriff’s office.
Deputies noticed the man appeared to be foaming at the mouth about 10:43 p.m. during a twice-hourly security check, the office said in a news release Friday.
Emergency medical personnel tried to revive the man for about 30 minutes before he was declared dead.
Deputies said the man had been at the jail since Wednesday. He will be identified, and the cause of his death released will be released by the coroner’s office.
