After a brief availability scare, Nuggets point guard Jamal Murray was cleared to play Thursday in the team’s elimination game against the Oklahoma City Thunder.
Murray was added to the team’s injury report four hours before Game 6 of the second-round playoff series. He was listed as questionable due to illness.
The Nuggets trail 3-2 to Oklahoma City and must win Thursday to keep their season alive. Murray, 28, is averaging 21.4 points, 4.4 rebounds and 4.6 assists in the series while shooting 40% from the field and 34% from 3-point range.
The Nuggets have had a bug going around the team throughout the playoffs, extending all the way to traveling support staffers and front office employees. Murray was also dealing with illness during Denver’s first-round series against the Clippers.
Game 6 against the Thunder tips off at 6:30 p.m. MT at Ball Arena. If the Nuggets win, they’ll force a Game 7 to be played Sunday in Oklahoma City.
