Missing Aurora man’s truck, dog found in Broomfield

An Aurora man is missing after his truck was found abandoned in Broomfield with his dog inside, police officials said Tuesday.

Paul Aragon, 34, was reported missing after police found his car in a construction area off of Edgeview Drive at around 3:15 a.m. on May 2, the in a news release.

The engine was running, the lights were on and a dog was inside the truck. Officers searched the area by foot and drone but did not find anything suspicious, and Aragon did not answer his phone, according to the department.

An officer returned to the area in the early hours of May 3 and, after finding the dog still inside, removed the animal and took it to a local shelter. Aragon’s family was notified that his dog was found and reported him missing a few days later.

Family members have not heard from him since April 28 or 29, Broomfield police said.

Aragon was living in his truck at the time of his disappearance and was likely working in Lakewood or Littleton, according to police. Itap not clear why his truck was in Broomfield.

Aragon is described as white; 5 feet, 8 inches tall; and 145 pounds with black hair and brown eyes. He has a koi fish sleeve tattoo on his left arm.

Law enforcement are concerned for his safety, according to a Colorado Bureau of Investigation .
