A bull escaped from the Snowmass Rodeo grounds in Snowmass Village and is on the loose Wednesday afternoon, officials said.

Law enforcement announced the getaway just before 3:30 p.m.

The bull was believed to be in the Horse Ranch subdivision, a neighborhood with nearly 100 homes.

“Out of caution, if you see the bull, do not approach and notify dispatch at 970-920-5310,” Pitkin County officials said.

Police don’t believe there is a danger to residents at this time.

This is a developing story that will be updated.
